Le Petit Chaperon Rouge uses an automated waitlist system to allow parents to register their child in our programs. Families are placed on this list according to specific criteria and are contacted as soon as a place becomes available.

System - Waiting list

Below we explain to families how the waiting list system works. The document contains details, accompanied by images, for an optimal understanding of this system.

System demonstration

Your child’s position on our waiting list may vary due to several factors. Our automatic system determines the position of each child based on the registration date as well as established priorities, if applicable.

Here are reasons why your child’s position may have changed :

  1. A child with a higher priority than your child has been added to the waiting list. This may be a child with, for example, sibling priority or a child who was on the waiting list for another center, but whose parents have changed their choice of center.
  2. Your child has recently been moved to the higher age group waiting list. For example, from toddler group to preschool group. As demands are different for each age group, this may impact your child’s position. Please note that you are always ranked based on registration date.

If you wish to register your child on the waiting list for the first time, you must create an account. After creating your account, you will be able to add your child to the waiting list.

However, if you already have an account, and your child is already registered on the waiting list, you can log in at the top of our website. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it.

The waiting list system allows you to add a child to the waiting list, add brothers and sisters, see your position in your two choices of center, modify your information on file if necessary and/or delete a child.

For further information on how the waiting list works, please see our detailed guidelines document.

We regret that we cannot tell you the date or an approximate date when a place will be available for your child. The number of places in our classes is regulated by the ministry and assignment to new groups generally takes place during the summer. Waiting time may therefore vary depending on the age of the group, the center chosen and class rotations.
